About the Journal
The activity of Brusov Science Centre has been enhanced and extended by traditional Brusov Readings, launched in 1962 and later regularly held in Yerevan (in 1971, 2006, 2013 the Readings were held in Moscow, in 1989, 1994 — in Stavropol).
Brusov Science Centre has been communicating with literary scholars and researchers of Brusov’s cultural heritage from Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, UK, US and many others.
It is noteworthy that in the Soviet period Brusov Science Centre researchers managed to create banned literature collection of Russian Silver Age poetry and include the Silver Age literature reviews in Brusov Reading conference papers.
Brusov Science Centre has continually enhanced collaboration with the Museum of Silver Age (House of Brusov) in Moscow, Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Institute for World Literature, the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House), Stavropol State Pedagogical Institute (at present — Stavropol State University, as well as overseas specialists on Brusov Studies, representing high-ranked universities specialized in Slavic studies, all over the world.
International academic conference Brusov readings is a tradition. Fifteen volumes of «Brusov Readings» have been published so far in 1962, 1963, 1966, 1971, 1973, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1996, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2016. The published «Brusov Readings» are a great contribution to the study of literature and culture and are nowadays considered to be bibliographic rarities.
The next Brusov Readings are to be held on September 19-20, 2018, arranged for 145th anniversary of Valery Brusov's birth and 100th anniversary of «The Chronicle of Historical Destinies of the Armenian Nation» book's publication, authored by Valery Brusov.
