Abstract

The research commemorates the life of the Most Reverend Archbishop Alexandros Jeha through providing a summary of his biography and publishing sections of his personal diary relating in particular to his official trip to Moscow in 1945. The trip was organized by the church to take part in the election of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexi I. The paper will address the stages of this journey and the meetings and speeches that were delivered by Archbishop Jeha on behalf of the Patriarch of Antioch and the entire East, demonstrating the strong relationship between this church and the Russian Patriarchy.
