Abstract
The paper explores the influence of Acmeism aesthetics on modern poetry. It is based on the comparative analyses of ethnically colored poems by Nikolai Gumilyev and the fragments of «The Indian Cycle» by Vera Polozkova, a Russian poetess, in the context of Acmeist artistic strategies.
