DESIGNING AND GENERATING BATTERY TEST TO EVALUATE SKILL PERFORMANCE LEVEL MEN’S WHEELCHAIR TENNIS PLAYERS

Abstract

The aim of this study was designing and generating a battery test in Wheelchair tennis men’s players in the middle and southern parts of Iraq. The researcher’s hypothesis that there are significant differences among the battery tests in men’s tennis players. Descriptive methodology used in studying the interchangeable relations. The research population has been identified (46) men’s wheelchair tennis players in the middle and southern parts of Iraq in 2018, while the sample of the study included (38) players have been chosen by purpose and they do represent (82.6%) out of the original population. The researcher used the following tools for measurement: Tennis balls, 50m tape, rackets, tennis courts, 6 rubber cones, chalk and colors, white line tape to set locations and spaces. The results have shown the following: - The used tests have shown good and very acceptable results to form the skills test battery. - The player’s ability in the skills performance due to the sample’s level and the used tests. - Most of the tests’ results were within the intermediate level. The researcher recommendations are: - Using testing Men’s Wheelchair Tennis Players battery in the periodical evaluation to know the players’ levels during the training units. - Get benefit from the results as an indicator to choose the players in the international teams.
